Go for it, the time will pass anyway.
People will say that they want to learn to do things, take up new hobbies or start new things. They have big dreams and goals but there is very often one thing that they say is holding them back. People will regularly say they don’t want to do something because it will take too long!
They say they want to learn to play an instrument, get in better shape or start a business but are unwilling to put in the time to achieve it. The one question I always ask these people is what is the rush? They think they are on a timeline but they aren’t.
Most people have a general idea how long it will take to accomplish their goals, but they are unwilling to commit to the time to do them.
My response to this is simple: the length of time to achieve the goal is irrelevant.
After the time that they think it will take passes, one of two things will happen: either they will still be talking about doing it, OR, they will have done it and accomplished the goal.
The simple fact is that the time will pass either way, so why not pursue your goals and enjoy that time.
