What Are You Really Afraid Of?
People often talk about being afraid of taking risks to change their lives. They worry that they will have to get so far out of their comfort zone and into unknown territory that they will be paralyzed with fear; fear of the unknown and fear of the consequences of taking risks.
This is a fair concern, and for most people it is a valid consideration, but there is another issue to consider. Making changes can require a huge amount of effort and that by itself can be difficult, even with the assistance of our circle. However, there is a greater risk. The risk of doing absolutely nothing.
While making changes can be daunting, think of the risk of staying exactly where you are for the rest of your life! When you really think about it, which is the greater fear? The fear of taking risks or the fear of never risking anything and living the same way forever.
This may seem like a dramatic choice to have to make, but it does need to be made.
When you think about it, do you really want to stay exactly the way you are, or is the “risk” of improving your life worth it?
