You Are Obligated If You Feel Passionately About Something
Many people have had the experience of dealing with a person who was selling something, and that salesperson was incredibly passionate about the product. It doesn’t matter what the product or service was, the most memorable part of the interaction was how the salesperson showed us how we HAD to have the product and they were right. It was a perfect fit; they knew it and persisted because of that fact.
The vast majority of people you meet in sales are the exact opposite. They have little or no interest in the product or the potential customer, they are only interested in making the sale to achieve a quota, make a commission, or often both.
With this situation, it is actually quite easy to stand out as an excellent salesperson. If you have a strong belief in the product or service you are selling and believe that the client in front of you must have it, then you are obligated to make sure that they purchase it, for their own benefit.
If you find something that you are passionate about, you can channel the passion in the same way that you would if you had a miracle cure. If you had medicine that could cure anything, you would probably shout it from the rooftops. If you believe that strongly in what you are selling, you are obligated to make sure that people buy it, and that will make you unstoppable.
