This is How Successful People Look at Debt and Bills
When most people look at their bills or their debts, they usually view them as something necessary but unpleasant. Things that need to be paid, but that given the choice, they would not have. When people talk about winning the lottery, the first thing they usually say is that they would not have to worry about paying their bills.
For the wealthy and successful, bills and loans are not only necessary, they are vital for success. They call loans and mortgages “leverage” not “debt.” They seek them out because they can use them to invest in larger deals and properties by borrowing much more money than they have.
They also understand that the more bills they have, the more responsibility they have and that leads to more opportunities and success.
Rather than looking at bills as something to be avoided, we can be thankful for the service the bill provides. We can be thankful that we have a water or an electric bill because it means that we have water and electricity. We can be thankful that we have to pay property tax because it means that we own a home and the city is providing services to us.
The other thing about loans and mortgages is that we should be thankful that someone thought we were responsible enough to have those loans and mortgages. This is why successful people seek these things out. They are confident in their abilities and know they are responsible enough handle larger and larger success.
Therefore, if someone else thought we were responsible enough, don’t we owe it to ourselves to believe it? If we are thankful for our responsibilities and seek them out, more success is bound to come to us because we will be ready to receive it.
